Lexmark C522 / C522n – Printer Small, color networking
Output to only mediocre print speed and color printing white and black, the Lexmark C522 / C522n color laser printer would be very appropriate for an individual user that requires a lot of color output or a very small workgroup. Processed using spherical toner for vivid graphics and color tandem laser technology, the Lexmark C522 / C522n color quality produce clear and clean in a high-resolution image fairly.
With maximum print speeds close to 20 pages per minute in both black and white and color, the Lexmark C522 / C522n is not in the top of your game speed, but offers a high quality of color of 4800 and 1200 x 1200 dots per inch print resolution. In combination with the use of glossy paper, laser printer can produce photo-quality results. Both units come with a built in 313 MHz which should help maintain even print large pictures acceptable speeds, while 128 MB of standard memory can be upgraded to 640 MB for even less risk of slowing.
The time to first page is about 13 seconds in color and black and white, which is a slower than one would find in a current color device, but comes with a variety of connectivity options and platform support, adding to the flexibility general of the unit. While only the Lexmark C522n comes complete with Ethernet connectivity, the base unit includes a USB port a parallel port that can be both used to connect multiple external print servers.
Standard paper handling skills come in the form of regular tray 250-Sheet Paper and single sheet input slot that can be used for media types such as glossy paper, bond paper poster, transparencies, labels and cardboard, while the media sizes are supported A5, JIS B5, statement, folio, letter, legal, executive, A4, and some envelopes. An additional 500 sheets can be added separately to create a maximum 750 sheet paper capacity while "t" versions of the models in the series include the additional tray in the box.
A 1,500-page print cartridge Initial uses black, cyan, magenta and yellow are included with the unit, while the optional cartridges include 4,000 pages black, 3,000 pages in color, 4,000 pages in black return program and on page 3000 becomes the color of the program, along with a photoconductor 20,000 pages. Expansion options include additional RAM memory cards as well as 32 MB and 64 MB flash card. Several external print servers include a wireless print adapter, a wireless network print server, Token Ring port 3, and an external Ethernet server.
