OKI C710dn Toner Review
OKI C710dn printer is a workgroup color LED, designed for moderately severe to five or six people using the machine. It can be connected via Ethernet, USB or parallel port and also includes a duplex unit for double-sided printing.
The panel Front features a map of bits, mono, backlit LCD good, which may appear to 4 rows of 16 letters. On the right are standard menu controls, while the left are the buttons with regard to the role of aid and to indicate all error messages. On the extreme left is a large button with a script, it seems as if we could turn, however, is in fact the release of the cover, so you can get the cartridges.
At the top of the front panel a drop down platform, which is the multipurpose power up to 100 sheets of media in particular. Below this is a large 550-sheet tray main. It is good to find a tray that can take a full ream of paper at a time.
The printer comes with PCL and PostScript drivers for Windows and OSX, but not referred to support Linux or UNIX.
The typical sense Print speed is evident in this team, like many other greats. OKI promises 32 ppm for page black and 30ppm in color. While not denying that color prints are only marginally slower compared with the black, the overall figures are be a little higher than that seen in normal use. Black print our five-page text, even greater than the typical length of Europe working papers, 32 seconds, a speed of 9.38ppm, in spite of increasing the length of 20 pages to more than double the speed. The reason is that the device waits 15 to 20 seconds before starting to print the page of any document.
Perhaps the most interesting result came from this specific printer is the effectiveness, if two-sided. With many printers, speed about 50% duplex printing to one side. Here, however, our 20-page document took one-sided 1:03 Finally a 19.05ppm speed, although both sides of the printed document is limited to 1:08, still 17.65spm.
The C710dn printer uses a duplex interior, so the paper does not have to be hand-removed from the top slot and invested in the machine. There is simply no reason that should not be fixed Double-sided by default, the savings over paper.
Standard printer resolution of 600 dpi is more than enough to create outstanding black copy that is crisp and clear, with a moderate brightness to the characters. Color images are vibrant and dense, although some default colors, green and blue on all come through dark compared with the original copies. In addition, there are some obvious problems of registration, in which black text on colored background shows white halo around the characters.
Our evaluation of printing photos at optimal 600 x 1200 dpi printer, had bright colors and a lot missing details in the darkest areas of the image. This is not good set of the printer.
There are four consumables needed to keep the C710dn is: toners, drum, fuser and transfer belt. The OKI C710dn toner cartridge should be good for ISO 11,000 and 11,500 pages, so abnormal color cartridges to get more capacity. The drums are good for 20,000 pages black or 15,000 pages color and both the fuser and transfer belt are rated at 60,000 pages.
Even with the difficulties of installation we discovered, this is a workgroup printer good color. Although not very well suited for photo printing is pretty good at everything else and is one of the best units duplex we analyzed. With four different consumables to consider would be logistically clumsy, but having sufficient durability as this is not a lot of problems.
