how do i convience my parents that dell laptops are good?

Dells aren’t very good. I know this from experience. You will be much happier with a macbook pro. The cheapest ones are only $1200 and $100 less if you’re a student, so with tax figure around $1200 which is about $600 more than the dell, not $1000. Even at $1200 before tax, the macbook pro is a steal for the feature set it has.
