IS250 v. A4: What works for inclement weather and luxury?
I'm in the market for a new car and I have reduced my choices to the Lexus IS 250 AWD and the Audi A4 Quattro 2.OT. I live in an area that experiences 4 distinct seasons: plenty of snow in winter, high rainfall in autumn and spring, humid summers with occasional thunderstorms. Both cars are reputable companies and are OK for high reliability. Audi has the "legendary" but interiror quattro AWD is a little lack luster in my opinion. Lexus has a simple elegance, but the viability of their vehicles are a bit questionable. I want this car to speak of luxury, and not my tires slashed, as my last car did. It should also be able to handle the harsh winters with little maintenance to worry about. Both require a system navigation, premium sound, and heated seats. Which of these cars would best suit my geographical location?
Go with the Audi – I loved my A4 sedan to the last day I sat in it and am now in my second Audi. They are like tanks in the snow. The quattro is unmatched. You will not tire of the interior. They are very well made, and it is elegant, as you are seeking. They come with any option you want and in my opinion, are among the most beautiful cars of the road. And they're not on the radar of most thieves, "as the Japanese cars are. BUT – they require more care and maintenance the Lexus. That's really the only trade-off. They are not as reliable. But as with most cars, look after him and he will take care of you. You will not be disappointed with the Audi.
