Misfire only between 2K and 2.6K RPM after a new distributor?
Chev 91 P / U, 96 350 boxes Vortec (CAM roll values) Edelbrock MPFI. Use the 91 original computer chip MPFI kit. More than 75K miles for this configuration. Recently installed new OEM style distributor (no name Ebay). Old corroded interior (91 originals) and either click or mag rotor bearings was scraping. This is an electronic (module type), distributor magnetic pickup. Account of a failure a few days after installation (which can not be started immediately) and the appropriate time (disconnect a wire and set to 0 degrees). I own a shop, and I've seen this before. I have a feeling that has a bad set of spark plugs, or wires.
